• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. • Manage and operate the hardware firewall (watchguard). • Assist development team on various projects which make use of various tools including and not limited to::SVN, Apache, PHP, Mysql, and Postgres SQL. • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities and environments. • Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure or applications per project or operational needs. • Maintain operational documentation on configuration or procedures. • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. • Troubleshoot problems reported by users. • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers. • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
