About the Job:

Your job will include, but not limited to the following:

• Supervises and participates in the provision of materials standardization and cataloguing function. Performs supervisory function of the assigned personnel and exercises operational authorities as established for the position.
• Directs and controls the maintenance and update of Item Master and Assets Assembly Structure in MAXIMO, ensuring availability of high quality, correct data of parts, materials and their equipment to all company users.
• Applies quality assurance procedures on all cataloguing activities to ensure integrity of data, comprehensiveness and full synchronization with MAXIMO Inventory Module.
• Reviews and approves new materials creation requests for capital/stock/non-stock items raised by end users. Ensures that catalogued data are matching engineering drawings, technical specifications, parts lists and that Standard Modifier Dictionary (SMD) is adequately applied. Authorizes populating specification templates to MAXIMO.
• Maintains regular Liaison with end users engineers, vendors/suppliers/manufacturers, inventory control engineer and senior storekeepers. Conducts physical verification whenever required and obtains feed back on materials full description, interchangeability and parent/child relationship with respective assets.
• Evaluates technical offers of store stock items, coordinates as necessary with equipment owner and confirms technical suitability to purchasing. Ensures that item master/catalogue is updated according to the agreed description and specifications and materials attributes.
• Reviews item amendment requests for all capital/stock/non-stock items raised by concerned parties, authorizes updating the data base in company catalogue and item master.
• Reviews SPIR reports provided by vendors/manufacturers for new equipment purchased and recommends two years spare parts. Updates database upon processing related PO’s.
• Provides technical support and professional advice on materials specification and cataloguing application to company technical/operation staff.

About You:

Minimum Requirments

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.
• 8 years experience in material engineering activities including material cataloguing, coding, standardization and manufacturing, maintenance experience at least for 3 years out of which 6 years in oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
• Professional experience in material management computerized systems, office applications and database management.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic language speaking and writing.
